The House was built over 170 years ago. It became widely known as an overnight stop in the Stagecoach days. The garage is to this day known as the "Coach House". The O'Sullivan family has owned and managed the house for over 75 years now.

Our 12 bedrooms are quiet and comfortable, reflecting the peace and tranquility of our village. Relax and meet the family and locals in our bar, exchange stories or enjoy the seclusion of the lounge.
We pride ourselves in serving fresh local produce in our dining room. Vegetables and herbs from the hotel garden, meats and fish from the locality. Traditional home cooking with a special welcome from all of us in charming and personal surroundings.
Gougane Barra is one of the many beautiful sights to be seen within a short distance from us. Others include; Carrignacurra Castle, Mass Rock, Macroom Castle, Glengarriff, and The Ring of Kerry. We are also but 30 miles from a choice of several safe beaches.
